About Australian Newspapers
The Australian Newspapers service allows access to historic Australian newspapers digitised as part of the Australian Newspapers Digitisation Program. For further information about the Australian Newspapers Digitisation Program (ANDP), view the public website at: http://www.nla.gov.au/ndp
This is version 1.0 of the Australian Newspapers service, released in August 2009.
- The service works best in Internet Explorer 7, Firefox 2+ and Safari 3+.
- The service works best at a screen resolution of 1024x768 or higher.
The open source code for the system is available from: https://code.nla.gov.au/redmine/projects/show/ndp-beta

Known Bugs
The following bugs are known to exist in the system:
- When sorting by date, articles from adjacent days do not always appear in the selected order.
- When viewing an article, there may be highlights running from the selected article to the edge of the page.
