About 1,000 scholars from the schools
of the city arc expected to attend ttie^ Empire Day celebration at the Capitojl Theatre this morning. The gathering is to be seated at 10 a.m. and His Ex- cellency the Govcrndr-Gcneral and members of the Government will bo met at 10.10 by the Chief Commissioner, Sir John Butters, and the chairman of the Canberra branch of Die Teachers' Fed- eration (Mr. H. J. Filshie). '
