In Queanbeyan Municipality

CONTROL
Certain houses in the Queanbeyan municipality, which do not conform, to health regulations, were condemned by. the N.S.W. Board ol' Health some time ago, who instructed the Queanbeyan Council to Issue an 'ultimatum to the owners to bring them up the required standard, . The defects included insuffi- cient ventilation, dampness ol' walls, and faulty construction.
After a long interval the Council- de- cided at its meeting on "-Tuesday cven ng to strictly < enforce these regula- tions forthwith. 'According to the act the Council can issue a closing order to all owners of houses considered un- healthy, or demolish the buildings if thought necessary.
