CLEARANCES.
For Moreton Bay, the schooner Edward, Captain Chambers, with sundries. Passengers —Mrs. Williams, Mrs. Dowse, Mr. Bow, and Mr. Ross ; steerage, Mr. and Mrs. Good- fellow and three children, Miss Kennedy, Mr. Robins, and Mr. Garder.
For Port Nicholson, New Zealand, the barque Regia, Captain Kyle, with sundries. Passengers—Captain and Mrs. Williams, and servant, and fifteen in the steerage.
For Java, the barque Wilmot, Captain Miller, with sundries. Passengers — Dr. Kinglake and Mr. S. Solomons.
The barque Arachne, Captain Pearce, which left this for Newcastle and Port Nicholson, on Tuesday last, returned to port yesterday, owing to contrary winds ; she will resume her voyage on the first favourable opportunity.
The Clarence, schooner, reports the arrival of the cutter Eliztbeth at the Manning on Friday last. A new cutter of about fifteen tons had been launched there from Mr. Howies's yard ; she was built for Captain Ayerst, who, we believe, intends running her between this and the Manning. Two very fine schooners are also on the eve of being launched at the same place.
The Pedlar arrived at Wollongong last Wednesday afternoon.
The Thomas Lord attempted to proceed on her voyage to Port Phillip yesterday ; but, owing to the heavy sea on at the Heads, was
compelled to anchor in Watson's Bay.
