LAND SELECTIONS.

The Land Commissioner, Mr. C. Coxen, held his usual monthly Land Court on May 2, when the following business was transacted :-

CONDITIONAL PURCHASES.  

The following applications were accepted :- John Wright, 150 acres second-class pastoral,

Gregor's Creek.

Charles Lane, 80 acres first-class and 20 acres  

second-class pastoral, Warner.  

William George White, 500 acres second-class

pastoral, Cain Babel Creek.

Ernest White, 1000 acres second-class pastoral,

Cain Babel Creek.

James Watt, 80 acres agricultural, Yeerongpilly. De Burgh Persse, 90 acres second-class pastoral,

Tabragalba.

De Burgh Persse, 302 acres second-class pas-

toral, Tabragalba.

The application of Daniel O'Neil for 155 acres, parish of Warner, was rejected. The [ application of James Wallace, for 88 acres, Warner, was dismissed for non-attendance.  

HOMESTEAD SELECTlONS.    

The following selections were approved:-

William Fischer, 10 acres agricultural, 90 acres pastoral, Moggill.  

Hans Heinrich Heinemann, 15 acres agricul-

tural, Tingalpa.

Timothy Ford, 50 acres pastoral, Samson Yale.

William Ward, 20 acres agricultural, 120 acres  

pastoral, Moggill.

Allan Stephenson, 56 acres pastoral, Mackenzie.

Thomas Bryce, 80 acres pastoral, Burpengary Creek. The application of William M'Cabe for 84

acres, parish of Warner, was dismissed for non-

attendance.

PURCHASES UNDER IMMIGRATION ACT OF 1869. Robert Jarvis, 40 acres, Tingalpa.

Alfred Burkett Smith, 10 acres, Tingalpa. Henry Ireland, 60 acres, Tingalpa.

The Commissioner has requested us to draw attention to the following regulation referring to  

the dismissal of applications for non-attendance

at the Land Courts :

"In the case of an applicant or his agent failing to attend at the Land Commissioner's Court sitting, at which his application to select land by lease, or as a homestead, is dealt with, as prescribed by the Act, a penalty of twenty shillings will be exacted for such failure to attend, and will be deducted from the moneys lodged on account of rent and survey fee, when

refundment of the same is made to the said

applicant "
