GOLF. GEELONG, Thursday.-- Associates of the Geelong   Golf Club played a nine hole eclectic stroke com-   petition to-day, when a heavy wind blew. It   was won by Miss N McKellar, whose score was 47 14-33. The other best cards were:-- Mrs Fisher 51-17-34; Mrs G Russell, 49-13 1/2- 35 1/2; Mrs Moore 45-16 1/2-37 1/2; Miss Jamie 56- 18-58; Miss Darby, 56-17 1/2-38 1/2; Miss K Wilson, 58-18-40; Miss S White, 58-18-40.  

YARRA YARRA - The associates at Yarra Yarra           played a stroke competition on Wednesday, for a trophy given by Miss B O'Donnell. The fair-   ways being very hard some low scores were re-   turned. Mrs Robertson, 90-25-65; Miss B M        

Davies, 88-20-68. The second round of the V.L.G.U. silver spoon was also played. The      

result was:-- Mrs Love 98-28-70; Miss Braith-   waite, 163-33-76; Miss Morva Davies, 103-33-76.
