ADELAIDE, Monday.
A conference of the Federal execu- tive of the Australian Labour Party opened at the Trades Hall to-day. Many important matters will be con-
sidered by the conference in
cluding the question of the expulsion of certain politicians because of their support of the Premiers' Plan. The conference is divided on this point.
Those present were: — J. J. Ken-
nedy, M.L.C. (W.A.), chairman, S. W. Munsie (W.A.), J. M. Coates and J. Bailey (N.S.W.), W. J. Dug- gan and D. Cameron (Vic.), W. J. Riordan and L. McDonald (Q.), T. Judd and R. Cosgrove (T.), E. R. Dawes, M.H.A., and H. Kneebone (S.A.), and D. L. McNamara (secre-
tary).
Interviewed before the conference
opened, Mr. Coates said he regarded Messrs. Lang, Garden and Graves as the "untouchables" of public life.
Asked if he would abide by any de- cision of the conference in regard to a unity move with the Lang Party, Mr. Coates gave a non-committal re-
reply.
