The Court of Inquiry into the fatal torpedo explosion, baa come to the conclusion that the only persone blameable are Lieutenant Hammond and Corporal MoKee, the one for attaching a wrong connection, and the other for transmitting the ourrentfrom the dynamo without making perfectly certain that the cables were in their proper positions.
The Hon. F. B. Suttor has purchased the thoroughbred stallion Monmouth.
At the Broken Hill Circuit Court, yester- day, sentence of death was passed on Wm. Dakin, aged 15, for the murder of George Tulon, a fisherman, residing near Mildara, early ia January. Charles A. Sue was sen- tenced to death for a murderous assault on Robert Milton, whom he stabbed with a knife
in the head and neck.
