FROM OUR OWN CORRESPONDENT
August 24.
A farmer named Christian Eichmann, residing near Yatala, suffered considerable loss by fire last week. It is supposed that a gust of wind blew a spark from a bush chimney in to his barn, in which were stored bags of corn besides his harness and other farming imple ments, the whole of which, together with the barn, were destroyed, the fire having made such headway before it was observed that it was impossible to save anything. Mr
Eichmann estimates his loss at £200.
