QUEENSLAND ELECTION.
Faith in Premier's Plan.
BRISBANE, Friday. — The Premier (Mr. Moore) continued his tour of the north this morning, when he was given a good hearing by Babinda residents. He re- iterated his faith in the Premiers' plan and said: — "Australia is coming back to pros- perity, and we can see daylight. We must persevere with the plan that will bring us
to national solvency."
Building New Bridge.
BRISBANE, Friday. — When Mr. G.
Mocatta, the Country-National candidate for Brisbane, opened his campaign to-night he stated that the negotiations between the Government and Dorman, Long, and Co. had reached such a stage that representa-
tives of the company had declared that if a National Government was returned it would go on with the job of building a new bridge of the Brisbane River. If Dorman, Long, and Co. proceed with the building it would spend up to £1,750,00, and work would be provided for three years
for 750 men.
