SECRETARY'S OFFICE, SYDNEY. Saturday, 10th September, 1814 THE Governor, having in a Communication
dated the 6th of February last, from the Right Honourable the Earl of Bathurst, His Ma. jesey's Principal Secretary of State for the Colo nies received the Copy of an Official Letter from the Commissioners of the Customs to the Lords Commissioners of His Majesty's Treasury, on the Subject of the Duties to which Wool, the Growth of New South Wales, is liable on Impor tation into England ; His EXCELLENCY pub blishes the following Transcript of it, for the In
formation of all Persons concerned m the Export
of Wool from hence.
" MAY IT PLEASE YOUR LORDSHIPS,
" In Obedience to your Commands, signified " by Mr. Harrison in' the annexed Letter from, " Mr. Goulburne, requesting to be acquainted, " for the Information of Lord Bathurst, whether "any or what Duties will be levied upon the " Importation into this Country of Wool, the
" Growth of New South Wales ; and whether " the Certificate of the Governor of the Colony, " that such Wool is the Growth and Produce of " New South Wales, will be held sufficient to " authorise such Importation,
" WE REPORT,
" That the Duties on the Importation of the " Wool in question, will amount to 7s. 11d. per " Cwt. and that no Document is required by " Law to prove the Produce thereof.

prevailed on board the Male Convict Ship Surry, on her late Passage hither from England, having been fatal to thirty-six of the Convicts destined for this Place, His Excellency the Go- vernor deems it expedient that the Names of the unfortunate Sufferers shall be published, in Order that their Friends shall be officially ap-
prised of their Decease.

board the Ship Surry, on her Voyage from England to New South Wales, with the Names of the Hulks from whence they had been em- barked, and the Date at which they died.

Bevan, on Wednesday the 21st of this pre- sent Month of September, at Eleven o'Clock in the Forenoon, all the Materials of the following Condemned Old Buildings belonging to Govern-
ment ; viz.
1st, The old Military Barrack, at present
made use of as the Barrack Guard house of the 40th Regiment.
2d. The old Wooden Government Wet Store and Slaughter-house, opposite to Mr. Bevan's in George street.
3d, The two small old Barracks in Macquarie Place, at the Corner of Spring Row.
The Whole of the Materials of these several
old Buildings are to be removed off the Premises on which they stand with as little Delay as possi- ble, by the Purchasers.

FORTY POUNDS STERLING REWARD.
Police Office, Sydney, 9th July, 1814 WHEREAS Patrick Collins, a RUNAWAY
from Newcastle, stands charged with being an Aider and Abettor in the Murder ot William Alder and others, in Mother Mahar's Creek, on the Hawkesbury River, in the Month of March last: - Whoever will apprehend or cause to be apprehended the said Patrick Collins, and lodge him in His Majesty's Gaol at Sydney, shall receive the above Reward of Forty Pounds Sterling.
