On Thursday two young Emues, procured
at King's lsland, were sold to a Master of a
Vessel for seven Guineas, a price by no means
exorbitant, as they come under the denomi-

nation of Wl LD FOWL..

examined before the Magistrates on the 6th
Instant, on suspicion of a robbery in the hous-

have not recourse to the molassaes and other

re-commenced, when tne articles sold in ge-
neral cheaer than the week before ; wine
glasses went at 2s. 10d. per dozen, rummers
at 6s. per ditto, and a quantity of fir-blue
at only 9d. per lb. A number of looking
glasses were also sold, among which was an
elegant oval ier, knocked down at four
guineas. The others were toilette or table
glasses, with and without cabinet-stands,
which sold at from 1L. 5s. to 1L. 14s.
At one o'c'ock the Day's Sale of the in-
vestment closed, and Mr. Lord proceeded to
the sale of the Ewes and Lambs, as per Advertisement.
The first Lot consisted of 5 Ewes and 5
Lambs, the premier choice from among the
whole number, and was sold for Ten Pounds;
but immediately after resold by the purchaser
at 20s. advance.

On Monday morning last the Civil Court
re-assembled to proceed in the special re-
serves Causes, when the long pending »d.
of Cressley versus Wentworth &c, was again
entered upon. But Mr. Smyth, one of the
defendants in this transaclion, stating to the
Court the necessity he had of absenting him-
self on affairs of public importance, which,
from his fuuation, as Provoit-Marmal, re-
quired, and would require his immediate at-
tendance, and moreover, that he had wit-
nesses to produce on his defence, the business
wass ordered to stand over to Monday the
4th of July, to which the Court accordingly
