On Wednesday morning arrived the Sloop
Gearge, from New Years Island, from whence
she was got off on Tuesday the 7th instant,
after undergoing a thorough repair ; she took
in 6 tons of oil the day following, and sailed
immediately for this Port.
From Mr. Simoson, who went in the Edwin
for the purpose of repairing her, we learn
that Druce still remains upon a small barren
island called Penguin, and that one of his as-
sociates was landed by the Edwin at Port
Phillip ; a third got on shore at King's Island,
where the sealing parties, are ordered to secure
bias.

During the Governor King's last trip to
the Islands in Bass's Straits, the experienced a
very heavy squall in Seal Bay, King's Island,
nine days after she left this port, in which she
ran amongst a cluster of f.ak rocks and car-
ried away part of her gri.e. These rocks,

visable but one, except from the breakers in
bad weather. This one, which is nearest to
Seal Point, stands ten or twelve feet above
